In April, with spring in full bloom in Guangzhou, against the backdrop of deepening convergence between the "Health Silk Road" initiative and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou Concord Cancer Center (hereinafter referred to as "GCCC") has ushered in another significant moment for deepening international medical cooperation.

On April 1, organized by the international medical referral agency Asian Healthcare Solution (Fengsheng Xuxu, hereinafter referred to as "AHS"), representatives from 10 medical referral institutions and oncology specialists from countries including Russia and Kazakhstan visited GCCC. President of Guangzhou Concord Cancer Center, Qian Chaonan, Assistant to the President of Concord Healthcare Group, Huang Chen, and Deputy Director of the Business Development Department of Guangzhou Concord Cancer Center, You Jin, along with other hospital representatives, had in-depth exchanges with the visiting guests.

Vascular surgeon Aleksei Di, radiation therapist Denis Romanov, and several other oncology specialists also joined the visit. The purpose of this trip was to gain an in-depth understanding of the hospital's expertise and clinical practices in precision oncology, particularly in the field of proton therapy, and to jointly explore viable models for international patient referral and medical technology collaboration.

Following the on-site tour, both parties engaged in focused thematic presentations and discussions on the clinical application of proton therapy, supported by real-world case studies.

Drawing on multiple successful cases, President Qian Chaonan provided a detailed explanation of the distinctive physical properties of proton therapy — namely, precise tumor targeting with maximal sparing of surrounding healthy tissues. He further outlined the complete clinical pathway of the "Concord Protocol," from treatment plan formulation and personalized design guided by multimodal imaging, to efficacy monitoring and prognostic management throughout the course of treatment. The compelling clinical data and in-depth case presentations provided the visiting delegation with a more direct and profound appreciation of the clinical value of proton therapy.

From precision treatment planning to attentive, compassionate care, this institution truly embodies both clinical excellence and warmth." She also expressed her anticipation for deeper collaboration and offered specific recommendations for serving Russian-speaking patients: "Patients from Russia and Kazakhstan place great importance on the accuracy of medical document translation. We hope that in the future, seamless integration can be achieved in areas such as Russian-language medical reports and linguistic support, enabling more patients from Russian-speaking regions to confidently choose to seek treatment here."

In response to the suggestions raised by the visiting guests, Huang Chen, Assistant to the President of Concord Healthcare Group, provided a positive and prompt response. He stated: "The hospital places great importance on this collaboration. Regarding requirements such as Russian-language case reports, we can confirm that this is fully achievable. GCCC possesses the comprehensive capabilities required to serve patients from Russia and other Russian-speaking regions, encompassing the full spectrum of services including dedicated interpreters, multilingual medical services, and the provision of Russian-language medical reports. We are committed to delivering professional, meticulous, and efficient services to ensure that every international patient enjoys a reassuring healthcare experience."
